ENGINE OIL

The oil in your engine lubricates, cools and cleans moving parts. It prevents metal contact between parts and thus reduces part wear and operational noise. It absorbs heat from hot parts much like a coolant does. Lastly, oil on the cylinder walls seals the piston rings and permits improved compression and combustion, and therefore power.
